Wild life abounds such as these pesky river otters who stole a steelhead off of one of our guests rods, ate the fish right in front of us and came right up to the boat begging for more. We were fishing for our own lunch so we didn't heed their begging. |

On Day 3 we fish, enjoy the beauty of Huggins Canyon and notice that the river corridor begins to widen and the river gradient begins to decrease. This is our first days contact with the outside world as we drift towards our third nights lodging at Singing Springs Resort. We are back on the grid. The specialty of the house at Singing Springs is prime rib and wait until you taste their horseradish. Enter in some friendly horseradish eating competition with our guides. |

The beautiful scenery never ends. Every new bend in the Rogue River offers new vistas. Waterfalls, tributary creeks and streams add volume to the Rogue River as it heads towards its end at the ocean in Gold Beach. Black bears are a common sight as we journey along the river and sometimes we see them at the lodges. |

Singing Springs Resort has many friends who visit in the evening. Wild turkeys and deer are plentiful. Deer are very tame and can often be petted or fed. There is a public pay phone for those important phone calls back home. |
