WILD ROGUE
WOMEN'S RETREAT

Experience Oregon's

Wild and Scenic Rogue River

Float down the river with a group of awesome women.

Looking for an adventure with other awesome women in the great outdoors? Join us for a unique retreat on the wild Rogue River. Come prepared to relax, play, reflect, engage, make memories, and build community.

The Wild Rogue Women's Retreat takes place in one of the most beautiful and remote places on earth. On this trip we'll explore themes of leadership, identity, and community as women. All who identify as female, and are excited to engage in meaningful conversation and activities, are welcome.

We'll float or hike 34 miles in four days through this coastal canyon river corridor teaming with wildlife. This trip features sections of smooth glassy water, and also significant whitewater rapids. Rainey Falls, a class VI rapid, is a great place for photos from shore. Then hold on tight and prepare to get wet as we raft through whitewater at Mule Creek Canyon and Blossom Bar, both rated Class IV. For those who prefer to view whitewater from shore, hiking options are available along the stunning Rogue River Trail.

Most folks come to raft the Rogue River in the summer, but we offer the unique opportunity to see it in the fall, with milder temperatures and fewer crowds. The hillsides glow with autumn colors and foraging wildlife. Mornings and evenings are crisp while days are still usually sunny and warm. Be sure to bring your camera for shots you won't find anywhere else and keep your eyes open for black bears with cubs.

This trip operates on the traditional territory of the ancestral lands of the Cow Creek Umpqua, Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, Tolowa Dee-ni’, Takelma, and Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians.

TRANSPORTATION

We will meet you near the river at the start of the trip. We will drive you back to your vehicle at the end of the trip. For an additional fee you can arrange to have your personal vehicle shuttled to the takeout. We recommend the personal vehicle shuttle if you are planning to visit the coast, Crater Lake, the Redwoods, or any other local attractions before heading home.

BOATS

We will explore the river in Arrowhead River Adventures whitewater rafts, typically with six participants and one guide per boat. Experienced guides will show you all the river has to offer, including side hikes along the Rogue River Trail, which parallels the river through the length of the canyon.
